What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is an ancient healing therapy that dates back over 2500 years.  By inserting very thin, sterilized and disposable needles into acupoints along the body, practitioners aim to regulate the body’s natural energy or Qi (pronounced Chee) into a state of harmony that promotes optimal wellness.

Chinese Medicine theorizes that pain and sickness (whether physical, mental or emotional) arise from an imbalance of energy in the body.  This imbalance can manifest as too much or not enough energy in a given area.  Since energy travels through the body along channels, manipulation of acupoints along these channels can correct the flow of energy and restore health.
