"Whether you are suffering from everyday stress, anxiety, sleeplessness, chronic pain, or whether you want to enhance your creativity, deepen your meditation, enrich your life experiences, or simply increase your well-being; hypnosis can help you achieve your life goals and enhance the quality of your well being. "--- Gale Neiderworder
Hypnosis is a natural, yet altered, state of mind where the critical factor (which facilitates communication between the conscious and subconscious mind) is relaxed and selective thinking is maintained. Once you have open communication with your subconscious, you can discover any limiting ideas/beliefs that may be holding you back.
What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?
Clinical hypnotherapy is an advanced method that is used as a complement to conventional medicine. Clinical hypnosis uses the subconscious mind to manage pain, diminish fear and anxiety and relieve suffering.
Clinical Hypnotherapy is especially effective for:
- Alleviation of Chemotherapy and Radiation Side-Effects
- Pain Control after Trauma
- Child Birth Preparation for a Drug-Free/Pain-Free Birth
- Pre- and Post- Surgery Preparation
Hypnotherapists generally utilize three methods with clients:
- Encouragement of imagination. Mental imagery is very powerful, especially in a focused state of attention.
- Subtle presentation of ideas or suggestions that are compatible with what the client wants to achieve
- Exploration of the subconscious mind to better understand underlying motivations or identify whether past experiences are associated with the current issue.
Most people are very responsive to hypnotic suggestions. Sessions are often described as a normal state of focused attention and a very pleasant experience. However, sometimes a person's ability to experience hypnotic suggestions can be inhibited by fears and concerns arising from common misconceptions. Contrary to depictions of hypnotherapy in movies or television, people who have been hypnotized do not lose control over their behavior. Individuals remain aware of who they are and where they are and, unless amnesia has been specifically suggested, they remember what transpired during hypnosis.
